Hum Honey
Multi-award winning Cold Fusion cold infused honey.
Pure, raw, cold extracted honey sustainably harvested using organic beekeeping methods
Leisa and Tony Sams put in a single beehive on their 300-acre Peachester property six years ago, purely for the pollination and preservation of a dedicated wildlife corridor on the Stanley River. Now, they have eight million bees across the Sunshine Coast, producing their award-winning Hum Honey.
Growing up eating honeycomb straight from the hive, which also came with the occasional sting, Leisa would often watch her dad, who was a hobby beekeeper. Never did she foresee tending to eight million European honey bees and producing 60 tonne of honey in a year.
Combining Leisa’s background in veterinary science and her husband Tony’s knowledge in agriculture, they understand the critical role bees and other pollinating insects have in our food chain security (70-80 percent of food globally is pollinated by bees) and because of this, they are focused on the biology of beekeeping and farming. The physical production of their commercial product only consumes 10 percent of their time.
