Meet the Pure Mill Chocolate

Millie Louise

Healthy chocolate bars, which are organic, vegan, paleo, low GI, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, refined sugar-free.

My foodpreneur journey really kicked off in 2016. I went searching for high quality chocolate bar that was not only tasty and nutritious, but shared my values in sustainability. With no luck finding what I was looking for I decided to create my own. I studied and became captivated by the small craft makers and artisan chocolatiers, and found my passion. And Pure Mill Chocolate was born

I was inspired to join GrowCoastal when I saw the past success from the previous years cohort. I was amazing at what the program offered, such as the one to one support and industry insights from industry leaders.

If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.

The Sunshine Coast is the best of both worlds. Here we have some of the most beautiful beaches and national parks, as well as local produce and artisan producers. Its really the perfect place to live and to start a food business. I especially love the local surf culture and community here.

As the weather is cooling down, my favourite recipe is a warming hot chocolate!
-2½ cups of the milk/alternative milk of your choice
-1½ cups Pure Mill 76% dark chocolate, chopped.
-Honey or sugar if you like it very sweet.
1. Combine 1 cup of milk (and sweetener if using) in a large heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water.
2.Add the chocolate to the hot milk and whisk to combine, keeping the bowl over the heat. Whisk the mixture until shiny, thick and well mixed.
3. Slowly whisk in the rest of the milk, keeping it on the heat for another 4 to 5 minutes, until hot.
4. Remove the bowl from the pot of water, pour the hot chocolate into mugs, and serve immediately.
